It is generally not necessary to use vitamin E oil with BioCorneum because BioCorneum already contains everything needed for optimal scar healing. BioCorneum is specifically designed for scar care, and adding vitamin E may not provide additional benefits. Typically, BioCorneum is applied twice daily for about 3 months starting around 2-4 weeks after the surgery or incision. Scarring outcomes are predominately a product of genetics and tension on the incision, and silicone-based treatments (like taping or gel).Krishna Vyas, MD, PhD, MHSHarvard, Hopkins, & Mayo Clinic Trained Aesthetic Plastic SurgeonNew York, New York
In general, scarring is a product of genetics. Some people are good scar formers and others are poorer scar formers. There is no one best therapy for scars. Silicone sheets, Mederma, and Biocorneum are reasonable and popular options. I recommend that the scar therapy begin after the scars have healed and there are no open areas, which usually takes 4 to 6 weeks.Kenneth Hughes, MD, Board Certified Plastic SurgeonLos Angeles, CA

BioCorneum can help improve the appearance of scars, but its effectiveness is best in the early stages of healing, so results may vary depending on the age and type of the scar. While BioCorneum is most effective when used during the early stages of scar healing (within the first 2-6 weeks after...
Yes, you can use BioCorneum under your silicone sheeting! Personally, I recommend both after the incision is healed to promote by hydration and "splinting" of the incision, which reduces tension and improves scarring. BioCorneum is a silicone gel that provides a protective layer and promotes...
The scars are awful. However, they should soften in time. An Alexandrite Q-switched laser can be used to remove pigmentation and this might be helpful for your scar. The BioCornium does nothing so do not expect a lot from this. Time is very helpful. What is going on with your left upper eyelid?
