I have taken antibiotics, birth contol, topicals and many others. I get milia have a bit of roseca and sometimes cysts. Will my dry skin get worse if I take accutane? Will my thin hair fall out while taking it? Will it make my acne worse and in turn my picking problem get worse also?
Diagnosed with Pyoderma Faciale in 2015, was put on Accutane for a year (I took my max.) It calmed my face down from when I initially came in but by 2016 my acne bumps were not cleared and still are not to this day. I have flares to where they get worst than the picture, but this is what it normally is. Bumps all over my face, very dry, very sensitive (I can only use products with natural ingredients.) Face is sometimes itchy and sometimes get eyelash dandruff (?). I can not see a derm.
I have been on Accutane Claravis 40 Mg for nearly 2 months now since jan 4th. I have seen nothing but my skin just worsening, I get acne on parts of my face and neck that I haven't before, I get so many big whiteheads and they will stay there for weeks unless I pop them. I've experienced nose bleeds, dry lips, dry skin, and eye dryness. I'm growing highly pessimistic because there is not one slight sign of anything good. I don't know if there's something i'm doing wrong and if so what?
I'm going into month 4 of my accutane regimen, currently on 80mg a day. Not too many side effects from the drug in general other than the usual dryness. With the weather warming up I was curious about the effects of sun exposure while on Isotretinoin. My boyfriend lives in the city and we walk everywhere when its warm. I'm mexican and usually tan but have burned on occasion but I want to make sure I won't burn like crazy in the summer months.
I've been placed on 20mg isotretinoin daily for 2 weeks now. People have told me that my skin will become very dry and I'll need to moisturize it.. though I'm finding that whenever I came home or wake up in the morning and feel my face, I can still see heavy amounts of oil on it, and so moisturizing it is surely counterproductive as a result? My lips however are getting a bit dryer, but nothing major, and my acne has actually worsened over the past 15 days. Should I be worried? Is my dose too low?
I have been on accutane for 40 days now and i have been expecting to see prograss but instead my acne is still the same and i have noticed a few new zits on my chin , i have read that people start to clear up after the first month so i am a little bit worried that there is something wrong. P.S i get dry lips and dry skin and my hair also got a little bit dry ., when should i expect my face to start clearing up?
I was on roaccutane for 6 months for 50 mg a day because of acne I suffered from really bad chapping of the lips although I am only 21 and male so I probably complain about it more than I should! But I've been off the medication now for nearly 5 months Now the line on my lower lip which separates the wet part of the oral mucosa from the front facing normal skin is dry and scaly. The oral mucosa directly behind the line is sticky to touch. I don't think you would call this chapped lips.
I have permanent redness on my cheeks which started few months after my acne treatment with accutane. It's been four years, and I still have it. My cheeks looks fragile and very dry all the time, like a sunburn. What can I do?
My skin is extremely sensitive and dry after accutane course. i have taken 20 mg oratane for almost 3 months... my oil glands stopped working. i have got wrinkles on my face. for how long does this dryness last and when my oil glands start producing oil.
