I have finished my Accutane treatment for acne on my back. Although I am not getting any new breakouts, I still have some of the cysts remaining from when my acne was going away while on treatment. Is it normal that I finished Accutane and still have these cysts leftover? Will it just take time for them to fully go away? Does this mean the treatment was not effective since it did not COMPLETELY clear my skin?
Hi, I am a 57 year old woman who has struggled with cystic acne my entire adult life. I typically will have maybe 2 - 3 cysts at most at a time, but they will get very large and I am constantly going to my derm for steroid injections. I am on 150 mg of spironolactone and taking Seysara daily as well as using a topical tretinoin/spironolactone/clindamycin nightly and Onexton daily. These all help, but I still get cysts. I am very worried about a cystic acne purge when I start Accutane. I know I should start with a low dose, but I am hoping to complete my course of medication as quickly as possible. I weigh 110 pounds
I had been on roaccutane last year for 4months,after a year now I'm facing the same problem from the last month and my dermatologists prescribed me roaccutane with azithromycine again!my anthr doctor prescribed me calcium oxide, vitamin b6 & b12, and vitamin D. My Q is if any of this vitamins have interactions with each other?i'm so scared why after taking roaccutane the same pustle cystic acne is back?what shud I do even after I finish my course of roaccutane to make it stop from coming back?
My dermatologist said that after my 6 month course, we could try 20mg a day on an ongoing basis to keep my acne under control . My questions are: 1)If i begin 20mg over a month after I finished my course, do you think that it will be sufficient enough to keep it under control or did I miss that boat when I didn't immediately drop to 20mg a day 2)Do you think 20mg on an ongoing basis would do harm? My liver results have always come back fine.
-220 pound, male -Got roaccutane 40mg due cystic acne (did steroid cycle) -attached bloowork 2months after cycle (is the estradiol abnormal?) -My face has been cleared but severe acne preavil on shoulder back and chest (2 months on treatment) -3 days ago I got hard pain in left shoulder, then tight in back and finally chest, hard to breath deeply, only ibuphoren helps -doctor said it was from gym (even tho I hardly trained while on treatment), and gave me bloodowrks (waiting for them)
I have taken antibiotics, birth contol, topicals and many others. I get milia have a bit of roseca and sometimes cysts. Will my dry skin get worse if I take accutane? Will my thin hair fall out while taking it? Will it make my acne worse and in turn my picking problem get worse also?
I have been taking isotretinoin for a almost two months now at 40mg/day. I am 47kilos. I want to lower my consumption to 30mg a day, is it ok? My pills come in 10mgs, do i take 20 in the morning and 10mg at night or vice versa? Or 10mg morning, noon and night?
