Is laparoscopic repair less efficient than traditional diastasis recti repair?

Is laparoscopic Diastasis Recti repair with da Vinci robot less efficient in tightening muscles than the traditional technique? I do not care about excess skin and fat it is only about DR.

My background is general surgery with a concentration in hernia repair that then transitioned to cosmetic surgery. I think a robotic repair done in experienced hands would be great. My suggestion is to ask the surgeon how man of these surgeries he does in a 6 month time. It should be at least average 1 a month. If less than that i would seek out second opinions with other robotics surgeons that focus on abdominal wall hernia surgery.

There have been reports of laparoscopic repair of rectus diastasis. However very few surgeons have adopted the technique which probably tells you it’s not that great a procedure
