Will Radiesse injections make my round face look square? (photos)

Question

I currently have a chubby round face (due to weight gain and genetics) I plan on losing the weight but I know my facial structure will not change. What are my best options? A jaw implant , chin implant or radieesse injections in my jaw? I pushed the fat around my jaw area to the back of my face and slightly lifted my fingers up to get an idea of how I would look with a square face.

Radiesse would give you several benefits to improve your facial contours.  There are other surgical options but placement of a non-permanent option will give youth ability to determine if you like your facial appearance with increased volume.  Radiesse in your cheeks should help give you the improved contour that you are looking for.

Botox Cosmetic® injected into the "jaw-clenching", or masseter muscle works well to elongate a round face. Radiesse® can enhance and shape a more defined jawline, but may not provide the "skin lift" the photos demonstrate.

Facial shaping with Radiesse is relatively easy and the good news is that if it doesn't turn out exactly as you anticipate if you are patient it will go away in 9 months.  If you like the effect you and repeat it.  Judging from your photo, slight enhancement in your cheeks and chin will give you the face you desire, usually with one syringe.

Hi, I have performed many facial shaping procedures, over the past 30 years, using dermal fillers and or facial implants.  From the photos, there is excess facial fat and the chin is weak.  These combine to create a rectangular shaped face.   Following the beauty principles
outlined in my book on face and body beauty, women look the most feminine,
youthful and attractive with heart shaped faces.  Heart shaped faces have cheeks
that are full and round in the front.  Cheek augmentation using a dermal filler
(I prefer Restylane Lyft) or with cheek implants for a permanent enhancement
will create full, round cheeks anteriorly that will feminize the entire face.  I would combine facial liposuction for further facial shaping.  It should be noted that a square, shaped face is angular and more of a male shaped face, which would not feminine.  I have performed many chin augmentations, using a chin
implant, over the past 30 years.  From the photos, your chin is very weak
creating an imbalance that makes the nose appear larger, the lower face short
and the mid face appear top heavy.  Chin augmentation, using a chin
implant, will add projection to the chin creating harmony and balance to the
lower face.  I have found placing a silastic chin implant through a small,
curved, incisions under the chin to be very safe, quick, highly effective and
far less invasive than a sliding genioplasty that requires bone cuts with
placement of screws and metal plates.Hope this helps.
