I had liposuction on my lower legs, calves last week. I don't have crazy swelling but my feet and swollen and my legs look like a horror movie. Although they are not as swollen as my ankles and feet. I have had my feet above my heart for 6 days now... When wil I start looking/feeling better?

Legs swell for a very long time it is essential you have compression, lymphatic massage and hyperbaric oxygen at this time.  Best, Dr. Emer.

Because of the dependent location on the body liposuction of the calves and ankles will persist longer. Compressive garments are must and expect to use them for six months.

HI there, hope you are recovering well. The bulk of the swelling and brushing settles down over a 2-3 week period. Compression dressings are mandatory, especially in the lower limb during the early postoperative period. When and where possible you want your limbs to be elevated. The rest of the swelling tends to settle down over the next 6-8 weeks. Good Luck
