If it is fat, liposuction would provide a better contour. However, if it is axillary breast tissue, you may require surgical excision. Either way, it can be treated effectively. Depending on the proportion of glandular tissue versus fatty tissue liposuction can sometimes be beneficial for axillary breast tissue. In my practice patients are prepared for the possibility of excision if liposuction seems to be unsatisfactory.
