I was told I have a very mild case of gyno but desired a flat male chest. 6 months post lipo, I still find myself unhappy with results. My surgeon says we will go back to take "a little bit" of scar tissue out in the upcoming weeks. He has me believing that my desired flat chest is unattainable due to my body's make up. My understanding is I have too much skin above the nipple causing it to droop down? Is flattening my nipples impossible for me? If no extra tissue/no fat, what aren't I flat?
Answer: Puffy Nipples post Liposuction Hello,The puffy nipples may be a result of scar tissue or more likely residual breast tissue that may benefit from excision. If your problem persist an examination can determine the consistency of this tissue and the best treatment approach.Warm regards,Dr. Pedy Ganchi Village Plastic Surgery

Answer: Liposuction of the chest for gynecomastia by itself often times leads a bit more volume of patients desire. In my experience liposuction alone commonly leaves a little bit of excess volume behind the areola. This is due to the persistence of modest breast tissue in a sizable amount of connective tissue. This is easily excised and can be done under local anesthesia.

Answer: Puffy Nipples From your photos, you appear to have a pretty good result from your surgery. You may have a little excess scar tissue behind the nipple which occasionally happens and requires correction. That is better than having too much removed which is difficult to correct. Remember, surgery is not a perfect science and it is impossible to get complete and perfect correction of any deformity. You are so much better than before and I think it looks reasonable from what I can tell. If need be, get a second opinion but if you try to hard to get an absolute perfect result, you do so at your own risk.

Answer: Getting a homerun for male chest liposuction Your skin looks great.I think you have the potential for having a very good looking mail chest if not close to perfect. The central part of the chest contains male breast tissue. This is true for all man.We sometimes called it glandular tissue. This tissue can be to ferment to remove it with liposuction and requires a small incision to be removed properly.Until done so your nipples may always look puffy and you may not ever get a flat chest. It's true, that skin laxity significantly limits how good male chest liposuction with or without an open glandular tissue excision can be.While not terribly complex male gynecomastia or chest liposuction with or without open incisions requires some degree of finesse, Expertise and experience to get Great results. It's not uncommon in my practice I tell my patients they may require two procedures. The first one is generally fairly aggressive liposuction it to get any soft fatty tissue out.If I'm able to get enough glandular tissue out with a liposuction cannula during the first procedure then results should follow. If not a second procedure with an open incision it may be required. With experience it becomes easier to predict who will need an open incision in addition to liposuction alone. Both procedures can be done without General Anastasia has office-based settings. Many plastic surgeons well however prefer to use general anesthesia out for these procedures.Unfortunately that can add substantial cost to either of the potential two procedures.Talk to your plastic surgeon how he he or she attempts to address your chest the second time around I know what's going to be different the second time around I wasn't able to be accomplished the first time.Best,Mats Hagstrom M.D.
