I am having some discoloration on my buttocks after Brazilian Butt Lift and results look square. Is this normal? (photos)

Hi.... thank you for the question and photos... you still swollen, this could take up to 6 months to low... the square form can settle down with time. You do have some contour irregularities that should be checked from the liposuction. 

You will continue to have swelling for up to 6 months after the procedure.  This may be contributing to your butt looking square.  You do have some contour irregularity from the liposuction fat harvest and need to discuss options with your surgeon.

Hello and thanks for the question. There are several months required to get the full cosmetic result of the BBL procedure. The skin of the buttocks has to expand and adjust to the new volume of fat. Therefore it can be 3 months or more for the buttocks to have it's final shape after being injected. The results of the liposuction also take time to smooth out, 4 months is the amount of time that many people require to achieve the optimal look from the lipo and fat transfer. Brazilian Buttock Lift requires significant time to heal and for the swelling to subside. After the swelling is completely resolved then can judge on the final results.Having said that, also Brazilian Buttock lift is more a Buttock shaping procedure not a filling procedure.You need filling of the lateral hip and buttock area to round the buttock and then increase the projection. I can't see a reason to just liposuction the lower abdomen and not touch the upper abdomen. That creates contour deformities.

Six weeks is still very early. You will still have some volume loss in your buttocks that may change the way that it looks. It has been my experience that if you have a square shaped buttocks to start with and don't have enough fat to transfer a substantial volume, the shape can look square after the BBL. It looks like you had enough fat to add good volume to the superior aspect of your buttocks but no enough to the lateral indentations. If you are not happy with shape when you get to six months, you can always get a second one done as it appears you have some fat on your thighs (liposuction around the saddle bag area could also help your overall shape. As far as the liposuction looking lumpy on your abdomen, you MUST massage this area aggressively to help smooth it out.
