Hello It is not uncommon to see firm, hard swelling post BBL, especially 5 days post op. Try to be patient and give your recovery time a chance to soften up your buttocks. Continue to follow the instructions given by your board certified plastic surgeon. Best regards
When fat is injected in the buttock area, all the buttock area gets tight and hard as a rock, that is from swelling and the injected fat, it is normal, and if depends on how much volume you got injected in that area, and your previous skin tone. Usually a couple of weeks after the procedure the swelling starts to slowly going away and then the buttocks get softer and you will notice an improvement on the shape of that area. Discuss all your concerns with your surgeon.
HI blkspain2,Thank you for your question. You are very early post operative and swelling and firmness can be very common during this time after a BBL. It can take some time for the swelling and shape to settle for you to see your final result. If you are very concerned I would contact your plastic surgeon to make sure that (s)he is aware of your symptoms so they can best advise you. Every plastic surgeon may have different recommendations for care post op care so it would be best to talk with yours for their specific regimen.Best of Luck!Dr. Rednam
