Large fat pubic area/ Mons Area

This is an area that's fairly easily treated with liposuction often times done with local anesthesia only. The skin almost always responds favorably to the reduced volume.

This area is one of my most gratifing areas to great due to a very high rate of satisfaction.  Find someone who is an expert to treat this and to follow the surgery with venus legacy or velashape treatments to tighten the skin and decrease the swelling more quickly.  Best, Dr. Emer.

Liposuction for pubic area fat is possible and it works well for selected patients. Without having your pictures it is difficult to comment further. Large fat pad in the pubic area can be treated with liposuction. In my experience, this is rarely treated alone, since women with this problem also have lower abdominal fullness and often need that liposuctioned as well or require a tummy tuck at the same time. You do not state your height and weight or posted photos, so it is difficult to give specific advise. See a board certified plastic surgeon for an in person consultation/evaluation. Good luck.

Having excessive layers of fatty tissue in the mons pubis is not uncommon.This area is often easily treated with liposuction.On occasion, this area may also have excessive skin laxity.When that is the case, the results from liposuction become more limited.For those patients, it is sometimes necessary to have some form of skin removal procedure.If you are planning on having an abdominoplasty, then any potential excess skin would be removed at that time.Best of luck,Mats Hagstrom, M.D.

Without photos there is no way we can comment on your specific needs, but liposuction of the mons is common and can be done now or at the time of a TT.
