Are there any signs of necrosis after my breast uplift? (Photos)

Overall there are no major concerns with your breast healing. I agree with you that there are a few areas on the nipple that are dark - there may be some blood under the skin (a small hematoma), or there may be some delayed healing in that area.  I recommend use of a topical antibacterial ointment, and follow up with your surgeon. Your situation is not dangerous and as healing progresses I expect everything will settle down nicely.You mention you may not be able to see your surgeon again, the best course of events would be surgical follow up, however, if necessary you could repost your photos is a few days.All the best to you,Dr. Nancy de Kleer

I understand why you are worried but, from the photos, it really does look like a few small areas where blood has been trapped under the top layers of the skin (epidermis), rather than necrosis. This may result in some minor delay in wound healing but should not cause any significant problems. I am sure you will be fine.

For the majority part, the areola looks good.  There may be some small areas that are purple and that may be a result of blood under the area or necrosis.The area is small enough, that even if there was partial necrosis I would not be overly concerned.  You just need to follow up with your surgeon closely.Hope that helps.

Overall it appears you are off to a good start. You do have a couple of mildly discolored areas on your areola, but I think they will heal fine in the end. Follow with your surgeon who can tell a lot better in person. Good luck.

You may have some superficial areas that might lead to necrosis, but I think you will heal fairly well. If need, send photos to your surgeon or be seen by a physician in your area.

Congratulations on your surgery!  Based on the pictures you provided, you may have a small hematoma or just a small area of delay healing under the right areola.  This can typically heal fine within a few weeks.  I would recommend applying a triple antibiotic ointment and following up closely with your PS.

Thank you for your question and sharing your pictures .In my opinion you shouldn’t be worried about this area in the upper part of your nipple, this is something that can happen, but will heal nicely.Hope this help you .
