Hi doctors, i had a rhinoplasty done in 2017 and was wondering if theres absolutely any way i can have my big bulbous nose tip thinner without surgery? I will not go under the knife for another surgery, so i was wondering if theres any way to fix this? Perhaps any lasers or creams or injections? Please help. Thanks!!

If you don't have any dermatological conditions associated with the skin of your nasal tip, adding volume to your nasal tip in the form of fillers may lead to a wider appearance. If you like, rescue question with better photographs. Thank you. Sincerely, Dr. Joseph

A bulbous nose can be due to the underlying cartilage or the thickness of your skin. Underlying cartilage cannot be changed or manipulated without surgery. If your only issue is skin, skin can be thinned with medications to reduce the skin thickness such as accutane, however this requires careful monitoring as there are potentially problematic side effects from taking the medication. Since you have already had a prior rhinoplasty, an in-person examination is going be required to make a determination about what is causing the bulbous nasal tip.  There could be thick skin present, extra cartilage present or scar tissue.  All this must be sorted out before making giving any advice.  The first step would be going to go back to your original surgeon ask about steroid shots
