The question could be who is the best rhinoplasty surgeon for you. I think there are a number of very talented rhinoplasty surgeons in the area. In looking for a surgeon you should review their credentials and their body of work. Rhinoplasty should compromise a large part of their practice. You are also entering into a "relationship" with your surgeon, and the surgeon is thinking the same thing about you. When you feel comfortable with their level of expertise from numerous photos you have seen of their work, go and meet with a couple of surgeons. You should feel comfortable, cared for, and listened to during your consultation. I think then you will know who the right surgeon is for you.
I would use this site to search for surgeons in that area and then look at credentials, before and afters, and reviews.Kenneth Hughes, MDLos Angeles, CA
I would recommend consulting with multiple board certified providers who you find have good before and after photos. We offer free consults both at our Tyson's Corner and Richmond Virginia offices.
When seeking a surgeon for a rhinoplasty, you should seek out one that does many rhinoplasties per year and considers that surgery one of the most common performed in their practice. It is always in your best interest to schedule a consultation and get a thorough evaluation. During your consultation, you should have photos taken and computer imaging performed to determine what a realistic expectation is. Ask questions and make sure you are comfortable with the surgeon and the process. Best of luck.
There is no such thing as a best rhinoplasty surgeon. There are many surgeons in your area that have extensive experience in rhinoplasty and have performed thousands nasal surgeries in their career successfully. Look for a surgeon who performs 200 rhinoplasties per year, has done so for many years, has excellent credentials including board certifications, ratings, reviews, testimonials, and an extensive before and after photo gallery.

This is somewhat controversial. Permanent sutures have a higher risk of infection and extrusion than non-permanent sutures. Hence, I refrain from using permanent sutures in the nose as slowly resorbable sutures yield the same results in my opinion. Once the sutures absorbed, scar tissue will...
Recovery after rhinoplasty will vary based on the person, characteristics of the nasal tissues and what was done during surgery. After rhinoplasty, tip shape is typically the last thing to settle before seeing the final result; this can take 12 months or longer. During this time you will notice...
Frequently dissolvable sutures are placed inside the nose during rhinoplasty surgery. Occasionally a piece of suture will be expelled out of the nostril or be found attached to dry mucous. You should not have anything to worry about. If you are concerned, however, you should visit with one of...
Straightening a deviated septum and straightening a nose can be performed in the same procedure. Without photos, it is impossible to say what steps this may entail. However, with a septorhinoplasty, either via an endonasal (closed) or external (open) approach, the septum can be straightened, as...
When surgeons look at the nose, we think of it in "thirds" the upper bony third, the middle cartilage third and the lower tip third. When we think about the causes of crookedness, there are a few main causes. One is traumatic (like a bad hit to the nose! one is congenital/development (your body...
