Can I use my short term disability for my Brazilian Butt Lift Procedure?

Im scheduled next month for this procedure. My job consist of me sitting for a period of 12 hours. I do know i am not supposed to sit for 6 weeks but that's nearly impossible with the type of job i have. Is there a way for me to use short term disability to cover the 6 weeks i need to be off my new bum?

Dear Trinidad,    Sorry to disappoint you, but fat injection to the butts is a waste of time, money and dreams , as I noticed on many patients who came to my surgery center for butt implants surgery after the great disappointment from the fat injection procedure that was done by other plastic surgeons. The patients told me that the fat disappeared completely or almost completely after 6 - 12 months. Fat injection to the butts is physiologically illogical because you can't expect the fat to survive without good circulation. Think about it. If fat injection surgery was consistent and reliable, most women would have prefered fat injection to the breasts over implants and the number of breasts implants surgery would have been reduced dramatically. The reality is that last year, breasts augmentation with implants was the number one cosmetic surgery in the US... With butt implants surgery, you do not have any limitation on sitting , so it will not be an issue for you at work !  In regard to butt implants surgery, not all results are the same because there are different techniques and different implants. So, do your due diligence. Consult only with board certifed plastic surgeons who do lots of butt implants surgery in accredited surgery center for your safety. Most importantly, check the before and after pictures to my are numerous, consistent and attractive.                       Best of luck,                                       Dr Widder

Hello dear!!
Thanks for the question and provided information as well.
I recommend my patients to allow 2-4 weeks for recovery, and to wait at least 7-10 days before going back to work, but each doctor has their own protocol. 
I also recommend not to sit for more than 30 mins. every two hours, for the first 2 weeks, and always with the help of a boppy pillow. It is very important that you talk to him and follow his instructions.
