Im scheduled next month for this procedure. My job consist of me sitting for a period of 12 hours. I do know i am not supposed to sit for 6 weeks but that's nearly impossible with the type of job i have. Is there a way for me to use short term disability to cover the 6 weeks i need to be off my new bum?

It is common to have general swelling after any type of surgery. With gravity swelling will move down. You should be able to visit or follow up with the nurse after surgery if your surgeon is on vacation.
