My face sags a lot near my nasolabial fold area. I am worried that fillers would weigh the area down even more and make the sagging worse. Is it possible for me to have a mid face lift of some sort? When I pull my skin up and back, it looks SO much better.

Answer: No surgery It does not appear, at least on this limited photo, that you have any sagging of skin. Surgery like face or midface lift will not address this problem. If this continue to bother you, in-person consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon is recommended. Good luck.

Answer: Your face at age 22 You are no longer 17 years old and you should expect your face to show your stated age. Each year you will continue to show signs of facial aging. Accepting this as being normal and appropriate is your best course of action. To stop the curse of aging is to wear daily sunscreen, avoid tobacco and alcohol consumption, stay at a healthy weight, and remain a healthy individual. I think it’s premature to consider surgical intervention. I think what you need is reassurance. Best, Matt Hagstrom, MD
