Dissolve Voluma or add more? (Photo)

Question

I had Voluma injected into my medial cheeks for tear trough hollowness/dark circles. The injector said I would need two vials, one for medial cheek volume and one for tear trough. I did not budget for two vials (was told prior I only need 1) so she just injected medial cheek only. It ended up making my hollowness more to pronounced. I told her a month later I didn’t like it and want it dissolved. She said I need more and will not dissolve what I have. Is this typical? What should I do?

Thank you for sharing your question and photograph. Ultimately you are the only person that matters and if you wish to have the Voluma dissolved, your injector should do this for you.

It's difficult to tell from the limited photo but it appears that in order to smooth the transition from the under eye to the cheek area more filler is needed to the under eye.  Dissolving the filler is an option but will leave you with the look you had prior to treatment.  Voluma has an approximate longevity of two years.
