Can I take head wrap off to wash hair?

I'm not certain why you have such an elaborate dressing. Call your surgeon ask him if you can remove it for the purposes of hygiene.

In my practice, I ask patients to wear a compressive head dressing for four days.  It would be best to call your own plastic surgeon and confirm that it is okay with him or her to do so.  I really don't know exactly what was done, so it's not fair of me to comment too much on your situation.Good Luck!

Since your surgeon is responsible for your care after surgery, it is best to follow his or her advice in regards to when you can take your head wrap off after liposuction under your chin.  Different surgeons will have varying preferences in regards to head wrap usage after surgery.  I would call the office now before your appointment to get advice.

wear your compression garment for the amount of time your surgeon recommends.
You can remove your garment while you wash your hair, just be sure to put back
on afterwards. Also, follow up with your surgeon to make sure you are healing

It sounds like you have the original dressing . if you feel it is so tight it is giving you headaches I would communicate that to your surgeon today.
