I am 8months post op Gynecomastia with DI, i noticed the dog ears on my sides of chest since the first week but it was still swelling, until now that i think for sure they are dog ears. My surgeon told me when i was 3 months post op that they aint dog ears but just fat and it will go away with gym. I would like to know your opinion is it possible to get rid of them with gym? And overall how you see my shape of chest is it enough male looking? Also can I get wider scars if i start now with gym
Answer: Dog ears after gyno surgery At 8 months after surgery I think you have a small dog ear on the one side. Sometimes this can happen especially if there was a lot of redundant breast / chest skin. It's usually pretty easy to have additional removal. This skin is really located on the side of your chest and not really breast tissue. If removal of additional lateral chest folds was not included in the original plan / quote, you should expect an additional charge. But you will probably get the best deal by returning to your original surgeon.

Answer: Dog ears... Congratulations on your gynecomastia surgery! After 8 months, I doubt seriously that returning to the gym will make your scars misbehave at this juncture. Dog ears are quite common, but can be revised or excised in the office under local anesthesia. I suggest you return to see your plastic surgeon and let them know the dog ears will not resolve on their own.Best.

Answer: Minor Revision After Gynecomastia Surgery russianguy. Hard to say from your photographs but if there is still redundant skin or dog ears they are easily corrected on the local anesthesia. Discuss your concerns again with your plastic surgeon. Best of luck.
