Surgery was 5+ years ago and from a seemingly inexperienced general surgeon (I was dumb and broke at that point in the life). Anyway, I now understand the importance of a skilled plastic surgeon but would like some input on how bad this is in the grand scheme of things and how difficult it would to regain a normal appearance on the left side of my chest.
Hello, in my recent gynecomastia surgery, too much tissue was removed behind the nipples (leaving indents), and under one pec, giving it a triangle shape instead of round when looking from the side. I have attached photos. Is this issue normally fixed through revision surgery, or will it somehow fill out with time.
Hello, I had gynecomastia surgery two weeks ago and long story short, the doctor decided while doing the surgery to do liposuction only, believing he could remove everything that way. I was pretty upset to learn this and he has agreed to do a revision because the gland is very obviously still there. Since I only had lipo, I'd like to do the revision at three months and I'd like to hear expert opinions on the matter. Thanks.
Is there anyway to fix a crater deformity from a bad gynecomastia surgery? My nipple and area around it sinks in when I raise or flex my arm. I do not have anymore fat on my chest that can be removed to lessen the contour difference. Any advice or guidance would be extremely appreciated. Thanks in advance.
I had bilat gland excision and lipo in 2019, perfect recovery. In 2021 I asked for a revision as the contour on my R chest (red X) is vastly different to my L. The surgeon left shortly after so no revision took place. Theres palpably more fat under my R nipple and in the axillary line. I also have to pull tshirts forwards constantly to stop nipple sensitivity. With this in mind, would revision liposuction in the sub-areolar and lower chest/axillary line be worth while? Thanks
Hi there. I had gyro surgery back in October 2015. Its now August 2018 and this is what my chest looks like. It seems that the nipple is almost stuck to the skin and a big hole is there which makes my upper chest stick out. Its worse on the left side since I had a bigger mass taken out at the time of surgery. The worst id the side. Most cases I've read peoples chests look normal when their arms are by their side and it looks weird when their hands are raised. It seems to be the opposite for me.
I had gynecomastia surgery (incision through nipple) in April 2016 at Coramed in Poland as well as liposuction on stomach. 3 years later I am unhappy with the results as it feels like the surgeon removed too much tissue from underneath and there are pockets of underneath my armpits (see pics). Also my right nipple still feels sore when squeezed. I am seeking advice from surgeons as to if it is worth going through another surgery to correct this or just accept that I am stuck with this result.
I had surgery for mild Gynecomastia 10+ years ago. I am happy how my chest looks, however, my nipples still bother me because they still show when I wear t-shirts. My nipples went from pointy puffy to pointy saggy. My concern is areola does not sit flush with my skin, perhaps too much excess areola skin? I am questioning if he removed enough gland. I am considering revision vs nipple reduction. If I do revision, I am worried it may cause a crater. Whereas a nipple reduction may help slightly.
