Would a tummy tuck or lipo 360 help target my mom pouch, back fat, and love handles? 176 lbs, 5'5 (photos)

Thank you for your question. Looking at your photos I would suggest a tummy tuck. This will allow your Surgeon to tighten up your abdominal wall muscles and remove the extra skin. At the same time some Surgeons will do some bra roll/ flank liposuction. I would suggest seeing a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon in person to evaluate you and discuss your options. Based on the pictures you attached, you have excess skin, excess fat, weak abdominal muscle, and stretch marks. Your stretch marks indicate that liposuction would not be optimal for your tummy. Therefore, in my opinion, whatever liposuction you have, even if you have VASER liposuction, your skin will not retract. In my opinion, you will have hanging skin. I understand if you do not mind the hanging skin to avoid the tummy tuck scar. However, if you have the best results for your tummy, I would strongly suggest a tummy tuck or abdominoplasty. During a tummy tuck or abdominoplasty, an incision is made low on the abdomen, and excess skin from the pubic region to above the belly button is removed. Your muscles are repaired, a new belly button is created, and the pubic region is raised and reduced. In regards to your back and love handles, I would suggest aggressive liposuction with the use of a vaser. These can be combined with your tummy tuck. Hi, thank you for sharing your question. You are a good candidate for tummy tuck and 360 liposuction. This will allow you to achieve the best possible results.

A tummy tuck would provide a substantially better improvement for you. It would provide resection of excess skin and tightening of your muscles, in addition to the fat removal you would achieve from liposuction alone.

Thanks for the question. you should get good results from a full tummy tuck with 360 degree liposuction. an extended tummy tuck will end up giving you longer scar without much benefit . the liposuction to flank and love handle areas and lower back should give a nice curve while full tummy tuck with muscle repair will address front of the tummy.

The first question I would ask you is what is your goal? expectations?

If you're looking to just reduce girth/volume/size, than liposuction alone is always an option. The only problem is that your front side will still have the pouch of loose skin over your pubic area and your abdominal wall (muscles) will still bulge forward. Your back area should do fine with just lipo.

If you would like to optimize your overall shape, maximize your waistline, take away the loose skin, flatten your front side and have your front and back look great from either side, than Extended Tummy Tuck (the incision will go around to the sides) with liposuction is your best option,

In my opinion, the scar is a very reasonable trade off. Presently you have a deep crease that extends from the front all the way around to the side. And the pouch. You would trade both of those for a fine iine which sits in the same place but is far less noticable and evenly unites your figure with a 360 curvy look.

Best to think over what you really want short and long term and plan accordingly!

In person exam is essential. Based on your limited photos and history of pregnancies, it appears that you would benefit from a full tummy tuck, muscle tightening with possible flank liposuction. You pose the question essentially as tummy tuck OR liposuction, but I would encourage you to discuss the possibility of tummy tuck AND liposuction with your surgeon. This is otherwise known as a lipoabdominoplasty. This technique needs to be performed taking care not to too aggressively remove fat, as the abdominal flap of tissue that is created needs to have its blood flow maintained in order to heal well. However, a well-executed lipoabdominoplasty can combine the benefit of deflation of fat along with removal of excess tissue.
