Traumatic forehead scar - what would you recommend? (Photos)

Hi doctors, I had a forehead laceration about 3 months ago and would love for it to blend in as much as possible. The scar near my hairline is from that injury, and the scar near my eyebrow is a few years old. I previously had the eyebrow scar revised, but it healed wider and became indented. Based on these photos, what would you recommend to achieve the best cosmetic result? Thank you.

The optimal time for treating imminent scars is between the end of week four, when the wound is strong enough to withstand treatment, and the end of week twelve. At the end of week twelve the scar is considered "mature." If proper treatment is performed between that window of time, there is a chance for erasing or at least optimally improving scar appearance. Afterward, it is much more realistic to expect between 60-80 percent overall improvement in appearance.In this case you are at the borderline so I would suggest prompt evaluation and treatment, Professionally performed, mechanical manual micrroneedling ( no need for the added expense and risks of RF microneedling) accompanied by the application of Rx pigment enhancing agents, such as topical tyrosine and latanoprost, can help to improve scar color and texture. You would be wise to consult with a board certified cosmetic dermatologist scar treatment specialist as soon as possible. Hope this helps and best of luck.
