Yes, most of the lip lifts I do are under local. It is very easily tolerated. And it takes about an hour.

A lip lift does 4 things: shortens the distance between your nose and upper lip, increases the mucosa of the upper lip, increases the incisor show and pulls up the corners. The lip lift should not pull the nose down and should not widen it. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.
