A good candidate has enough fat available for transfer in the procedure. The amount of fat that can be transferred in a BBL depends on how much fat the patient has to harvest and the amount of space there is to move the fat into. It is recommended for the patient to have a BMI of 30 or less. If you are too thin, a Brazilian Butt Lift may not be possible.
Dear karleesteel,it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.Daniel Barrett, MD, MHA, MS Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgery Member, Am. Society of Plastic Surgery
Thanks for your question and photos. It's appears a BBL would be a good option for you. However, it's important to take into account that you may not achieve the exact same results as your wish pictures. Managing expectations is important when considering any type of surgical procedure. During this procedure, fat is harvested via liposuction from different areas of the body such as waist, back, flanks and thighs and then transferred to the buttocks. I recommend an in person consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon who can evaluate how much fat can be removed at your current size. Then they can also give you a better idea of what the expected results would be.
You can get a modest increase in buttock size and shape with liposuction of the abdomen, sides, back, and legs and transfer of that fat to the buttocks. This procedure is highly surgeon and technique dependent. The thinner patient requires an expert at liposuction to remove as much fat as possible while leaving the skin smooth. Find a plastic surgeon with ELITE (education, experience, training, certification by the American Board of Plastic Surgery) credentials who performs hundreds of BBLs each year. Then look at the plastic surgeon's website before and after photo galleries and read patient reviews.Kenneth Hughes, MD, Board Certified Plastic SurgeonLos Angeles, CA
Hello karleesteel,Thanks for your photos and questions! I would suggest you consult with a board-certified plastic surgeon about your specific needs and aesthetic goals. In a first consultation, your surgeon will evaluate you as a candidate for buttock augmentation with fat grafting (BBL) and clarify what fat grafting can achieve for you. BBL uses fat transfer to provide a more curvaceous buttock without the use of an implant. An assessment from an experienced plastic surgeon in both, BBL and Vaser lipo procedures, is highly encouraged since VASER liposuction is commonly used to sculpt the surrounding area and collect the autologous fat (from your own body) to be injected. I do recommend gaining some weight if you desire to have a larger buttock since the amount of fat to be transferred will be dependent on how much your surgeon can harvest. In my experience, one is able to harvest more fat using the VASER liposuction system (at 50% amplitude using the Vaser Mode). Hope this is helpful! Dr. De La Cruz.
You need to be seen in person to determine what might be appropriate for you. I did not see any specific photos of you.
Dear Karlee,It appears that you are a good candidate for a BBL. The size of your buttocks would be dependant on how much fat can be harvested.Best of luck.Dr T
Hello dear!!Thanks for the question and provided information as well. Based on your pictures you yes. There is a traditional combination liposuction with a BBL. This combination has become very common. It is safe to combine both procedures. I recommend to book a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon to discuss the best options for your goals. Good luck :)
Hi, and thank you for the questionBased on the information and photos you send us, you are a great candidate for a liposuction, with a fat transfer to your buttocks, to reshape your body and give you more curves. As you can understand studies and test are needed to see if you are clear for surgery but in general, if you seek the attention of a certified plastic surgeon, you should have a great result and a normal life. So feel free to contact us for further evaluation. Thank you again and have a great day
Getting both procedures done at the same time is possible but would result in a difficult recovery period.
Dear Nydavis32,Finding the right Dr. is extremely challenging especially with the number of online platforms and resources available. There a lot of great Dr's available. Definitely check to make sure your choice specializes in the procedure you want and spend the time to read through patient...
You should wait at least 2 weeks before sitting without a support cushion and sleeping on your back. Sitting with no support too soon can harm the newly moved fat cells.
