BBL with breast augmentation: Let me know what you would do?

Thanks for your questions! I would recommend you getting a 4D Hi-Definition VASER Liposuction combined with fat transfer procedure for your buttocks first, and breast augmentation implants afterwards. Based on my experience, after performing fat grafting to the buttocks you must avoid sitting or sleeping on your back for a couple of months or else the desired outcome will be negatively affected. Putting pressure on your bottom by sitting down or laying on it during the recovery period can stiffen, deform and even kill the transplanted fat cells. On the other hand, if you get a breast augmentation procedure done at the same time, you’ll be required to sleep on your back and thus it will compromise your results.  Sleeping on your abdomen may cause problems with your breast surgery as well.   Hence, it wouldn’t be suitable to get all the procedures performed at once. Do not add more procedures to your initial surgical plan based on the cost.  Your best option would be to have the VASER lipo and fat transfer procedure done prior to getting the breast implants and wait a period of at least 3 months between surgeries for recovery purposes. Getting both procedures done at the same time is possible but would result in a difficult recovery period.

Dear karleesteel,yes, they can be done together. I would perform the breast augmentation first to reduce the risk of contamination and then proceed to the butt lift. Do you have areas of fat to use for the butt lift? The goal would be to keep the duration of the operation to less than 6 hours. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Dear Karleesteel,Liposuction/BBL plus a breast augmentation with implants is a pretty common combination of procedures. Consider you will handle only one pain at a time but also painkillers will be prescribed so it will be a tolerable pain. You will benefit for having both done at the same time, go for it.  

A BBL and a breast augmentation can be performed at the same time in the right patient. You are best to be seen in person to determine what might be appropriate for you. Good luck!

Safety should be the number one consideration. It's usually not a good idea to undergo lengthy elective procedures (times vary, but longer than 6 hours or so is often not considered a good idea because of increasing risks of blood clots, etc...). If your board certified plastic surgeon is comfortable doing your procedure in in less than this time and isn't concerned about turning you during the procedure with the associated risks of pressure to the fat transfer site vs pressure and malposition of your breast implants, then no problem. But I would certainly discuss all of your concerns with him or her.Good luck and good health!

It is possible to combine both procedures. You might need to lay down on your sides. I recommend no sitting for the first two weeks after surgery and then a special BBL pillow can be used. Normally, breast augmentation is relatively a short procedure and the recovery is not difficult. So, it is reasonable to combine it with BBL.
