Vollure injected into blood vessels. Could it have caused acute-narrow angle glaucoma?

Question

The NP injected my tear troughs and 1/2 hr later, worst pain of my life around eye and in eye. Begged for help but denied reversal and told no doc. Hemorrhaged and leaked for the next few days, double vision slowly receded. V drowsy & out of it. 3 days later, found out had doc & was immediately in for 3 emergency appts of 500 units acid. Eye doc later said eye anat high risk for narrow angle glaucoma. No one can explain pain. Possible acute narrow-angle glaucoma attack relieved by acid?

Thank you for sharing your question and experience.  I am glad that you have been receiving medical treatment by your eye doctor to avoid any further complications and do hope that you return to your baseline level of function. As for the narrow angle glaucoma it is unlikely that the filler caused this as this would require an injection directly into the eyeball which does not sound as if it was done.  Hope this helps.

I have not heard of fillers causing narrow angle glaucoma. However there have been reported cases of fillers injected incorrectly around the eyes leading to blindness, strokes and loss of vision. Hope this helps.
