Vollure XC - Is it truly effective for 18 months?

Thank you for sharing your excellent question.  Because Vollure has not yet been out for 18 months in the US it is difficult to give you an honest response but the clinical studies demonstrated this duration of results.  You will slowly lose volume over time, and may desire a touch-up prior to all of the material being dissolved, but so far my lip augmentation patients have enjoyed Vollure's results.  Vollure is too thin of a product to provide substantial lift or support of the tissues such as Voluma and is better placed in areas that Juvederm is used.  Hope this helps.

Vollure is the latest addition to the Juvederm family of hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers using Vycross technology.  In this way it is similar to Voluma and Volbella.  It is a uniquely balaned gel that is extremely soft and versatile.  It is FDA approved to correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds for up to 18 months.  My patients are extremely satisfied with the long lasting, smooth results.

Vollure is made using a newer VyCross technology and last up to 18 months in contrast to Juvederm which uses Hylacross technology and lasts about 12 months.

Thank you for your question!  Vollure XC is the first and only Hyaluronic Acid Dermal Filler FDA approved for correction of moderate to severe folds, such as nasolabial folds, lasting up to 18 months. The duration of these HA fillers under these studies were treated to full correction, which is something you will need to consider when seeking treatment. Vollure was studied also in the lips, because of the increased movement in this area, the studies showed the HA lasting up to 12 months in this area.  Our patients are very satisfied with the results from the vollure, we have not had access to vollure until recently, so we are only able to give you information based of the most recent studies we have from Allergen. Thank you for your question.  The 18 months cited in studies was based on a full correction treatment to the nasolabial folds region.  If you are using the product in areas such as the lip, you are probably using much smaller quantities and placing it in a more mobile region of the face.  Thus I would expect the duration to be less (as do most fillers injected in this area).  It's sister product Volbella has been shown to last a year in the lips in studies when treated to full correction.  I would expect Vollure to be somewhere in that timeframe (or a little longer) in the lips.

It may potentially last for 18 months on average, but it may not last 18 months in you specifically. Make sure you are getting treatment from a board-certified physician or other experienced health care professional.

Hello and thank you for your questions.  Vollure is our recommended filler for lips at our practice.  Vollure is a smoother, softer product.  The vycross technology allows the filler to look and feel natural.  It is not uncommon, if you are very active, for your fillers to dissolve quicker than someone who is not.  Vollure should last about 10 months, and it has been for most patients.  If you have not gotten lip filler before, it may take a couple of treatments to get to desired look. Vollure can be used in the lips and folds around mouth.  Be sure your provider has plenty of experience and listens to your expectations and concerns.  Good Luck to you!

Since you have a very active lifestyle, the duration of fillers in lower face, especially lips will be less than average in your case!  Sorry!  Depending on how many times you have previously injected your lips & your metabolic rate, expect about a year from Vollure.

Hello, Thank you for your great question. Vollure is FDA indicated to last up to 18 months. Longevity of fillers generally depend on different factors, such as, area (movement/muscle activity), metabolism, amount used. In our clinic, we advise patients to come in for a follow up in 6-9 months to assess the necessity for touch up. In our clinic, we have found that touch ups are critical for lasting results. hyaluronic acid filler designed to enhance the appearance of wrinkles and folds
on the face. The pivotal studies for Vollure were done in the nasolabial folds. 1.7 cc of product was used per side for a total of 3.4 cc. The study demonstrated that most people enjoy the results from this treatments for approximately 18 months. Since the study was not done in the lips we do not know the longevity of this product in the lips. However Volbella was studied in the lips. Those studies found that most people enjoy their results in the lips for approximately 1 year. In areas of high movement such as the lips the longevity of products decreases. Also smaller amounts of product are generally used in the lips as compared to the nasolabial folds. With all that being taken into consideration I would guess that patients would enjoy the results of Vollure in the lips (which is off-label at this point) for 12-18 months. Please
