Vollure Tyndall Effect: can makeup or self-tanner hide the discoloration?

The Tyndall effect is generally seen in the lower eyelid area as the lower face skin is much thicker.  However, if you are unhappy with your filler it can be easily removed with hyaluronidase injections.

I would recommend seeing your injector for an in-person examination.  Treatment will depend on whether this bluish discoloration is the effects of your Vollure or bruising from its initial placement.  In the former I would advocate for dissolve the material while for the latter additional time should help clear it.  Hope this helps.

While this side effect can be concealed with makeup I would strongly recommend dissolving it with Hyaluronidase. Make sure you are getting treatment from a board-certified physician or other experienced health care professional.

The bluish discoloration is best seen by your doctor for an analysis.
An enzyme (Vitrase) can reduce and improve the bluish area.

dermal filler used to enhance moderate to severe wrinkles on the face. Hyaluronic acid fillers such as Vollure can be dissolved an reinjected if the desired effect is not achieved. Thank you for your question.  I'm sorry to hear that you're noticing skin discoloration after your Vollure treatment.  It's difficult to make an exact diagnosis without assessing you in person, or reviewing your photos, but it does sound like you may be experiencing the Tyndall effect.  The Tyndall effect occurs when fillers are injected too superficially in the the skin - because of the way they scatter light, the fillers can appear slightly blue.It would be best to schedule a follow-up appointment with your injector to discuss your concerns.  He/she should be able to dissolve the superficially-injected Vollure with hyaluronidase.  Best of luck!

The Tyndall effect is from filler being injected too shallow in the skin so light reflects off of it which presents a bluish coloring. However, it rarely occurs with Vollure because it isn't a bluish color like Juvederm.
