Can HydraFacial help my dark circles under the eyes in anyway? (photo)

Question

I’ve had 3 lots of restylane vital injections under my eyes to try and help dark circles. Unfortunately it hasn’t had the effect I’d hoped for and I’ve got areas under both eyes where there is a raised area (not a solid lump just raised). The dr suggested trying hydra facial . But after reading about this I’m not sure how this will help and it says any effects only last about a week and its something you seem to need monthly to maintain the results. Can anyone give me advise on this?

Thanks for your question and photos.  Hydrafacial can help with your fine lines and some pigmentation issues.  However, your photo depicts a persistent "hollow" that can present as a "shadow" and make further dark circle appearances.  More filler can help in this area.  Don't be discouraged, many people have the same issues.  Please reach out to your provider, show them exactly where you are seeing the dark circles.  Once this is pointed out, they will treat it appropriately.  Best!!

You may want to consider Morpheus8 to help address texture under the eye.  This treatment combines RF technology with microneedling to improve overall skin tone and texture and is safe to use under the eye.  I've included a video I hope you find helpful.

Thanks for your question and photo.  It is really helpful.  I would say a Hydrafacial won't do a whole lot to change the appearance of the under eye area in your case.  You might want to ask about microneedling, and also have your dermatologist who did your filler injections check the area and make sure there is not some filler causing a lump under the skin that is making the surrounding area appear more hollowed and dark. Hello and thanks for your question. Sorry to hear you have not achieved the result you were after. This area can be complex and I find a combination approach is always best- We use the hydrafacial and particularly the PERK hydrafacial tips designed for the eyes and lips. We almost always combine this with energy based devices such as radiofrequency to tighten the skin and boost the amount of collagen and elastin in the skin. Hydrafacials can be helpful for some light discoloration and can be used under the eyes. Over time, with monthly treatments, hydrafacials will help lighten up pigmented spots including under the eyes. Based on your picture, it does look like some hollowing under the eyes, which can be helped by more fillers. Talk to your injector and let them know your specific concerns and maybe they would suggest a different type of filler to correct this issue.
