I’ve had 3 lots of restylane vital injections under my eyes to try and help dark circles. Unfortunately it hasn’t had the effect I’d hoped for and I’ve got areas under both eyes where there is a raised area (not a solid lump just raised). The dr suggested trying hydra facial . But after reading about this I’m not sure how this will help and it says any effects only last about a week and its something you seem to need monthly to maintain the results. Can anyone give me advise on this?

However, your photo depicts a persistent "hollow" that can present as a "shadow" and make further dark circle appearances. More filler can help in this area. Don't be discouraged, many people have the same issues. Please reach out to your provider, show them exactly where you are seeing the dark circles. Answer: Medical Advice on Cosmetic Procedures and Anesthesia Options "Hydrafacial can slightly help reduce dark circles, I would prefer to see the loss of volume and dark circles to make an evaluation. I would recommend surgery to address the loss of volume and have a permanent result."

This area can be complex and I find a combination approach is always best- We use the hydrafacial and particularly the PERK hydrafacial tips designed for the eyes and lips. We almost always combine this with energy based devices such as radiofrequency to tighten the skin and boost the amount of collagen and elastin in the skin. With these we can also us injectables such as filler if required. The best thing to do is seek a face-face consult so a plan can be put together. Best wishes
