2 years after breast reduction, is it possible that sensation loss will improve?

Nipple sensation almost always returns to normal with time. However, there's still a small chance of permanently losing sensation in the nipples after breast reduction surgery. Approximately 35% of the patients who got their breasts reduced using the inverted-T scar technique reported persistent nipple numbness even 2 years after their surgery. Please be patient as the nerves may be still reforming.
