I seem to have tubular and unequal breasts which causes low self esteem and being uncomfortable in clothing and bras and being extremely self conscious. Any way that insurance may cover correction of this?

Answer: Insurance No, insurance does not cover breast augmentations. Insurance does cover breast reconstruction after cancer and many breast reductions for very heavy symptomatic breasts..

Answer: Tubular breasts and insurance Hi, Tubular breasts are a significant concern for the patient and the condition can greatly decrease confidence. The surgical correction can be amazing and it will allow you to get your confidence back on track. Having said that, the insurance companies typically will NOT cover the correction and will usually consider your procedure completely cosmetic. It certainly can be checked with your insurance company but even the emotional situation that the condition causes for the patient does not trigger an insurance company to cover the procedure. Most plastic surgeons have payment plans that can allow an easier way to finance the procedure. Check with your plastic surgeon for any payment plans that they have in the office and also ask if the plastic surgeon considers your case to be cosmetic. We work with insurance companies all the time and we will have a good idea of how they will react to a tubular breast patient request to the insurance company. .
