Below I have attached images of myself as well as what I hope, based on the results of the patient in the last image, to be realistic for me to end up looking like. I am looking for a surgeon in Miami that would be able to aid me in correcting my tubular breasts, and am interested in hearing what is recommended to achieve (as close to as possible) what I hope would be realistic for me.
Answer: Tubular breast correction in Miami, FL. Is it possible for me to achieve the results in my wish pics? You've made a good diagnosis. Your breasts are tuberous (tubular), the left more so than the right. I don't feel that it's realistic for you to expect the results of your wish photos,. With the exception of the last photo ( showing a very nice correction of a mild tuberous deformity), your wish photos did not start out with tuberous breasts. Correction of the tuberous breast is unlike a straight forward breast augmentation. You need to be realistic and understand the limitaions of each procedure. I encourage you to look up the surgeon you eventually select and make sure they have years of experience in performing cosmetic breast surgery. Furthermore request to see before and after photos of previous patients by that doctor....not a clinic or surgery center. Do your homework......research and verify the doctor's credentials. Have they had problems with the Board of Medicine, disciplinary or otherwise. Any law suits? How about the center, clinic or facility? Are they accredited by a national organization or do they just have State approval. Understand that at the current time, there are three nationally recognized organizations responsible for the highest levels of patient safety, AAAASF, AAACH and JCHO. You owe it to yourself to position yourself for the best possible results but under the most stringent safety regulations, If you have kids, even more so.How about anesthesia? Will you have a medical doctor certified by the American Board of Anesthsiology or a certified nurse anesthetist (CRNA)? Understand that there is no substitute for research. Cosmetic surgery, no matter how simple it may be to the patients, are invasive procedures and as such carry certain risks and complications.I wish you the best on your journey. I hope that the info provided has been helpful. Should you require any further clarification, do not hesitate to contact our institute. I answer all questions personally, not through patient coordinators or other marketing individuals. In our office we use TouchMD which is a web based program in which patients have the ability to load their picture unto the program. I then evaluate them and can actually draw on the picture to show a potential patient where the incisions would be located and how the procedure is to be realized. It's all done to comply with HIPPA which is the federal law that protects the patient's medical information. Look them up. Good luck Dr PG

Answer: Treatment of Tuberous Breasts The condition called tuberous breasts refers to the breast shape that occurs when breast tissue develops in an abnormal way. In tuberous breasts, the breast tissue is usually concentrated in the central area behind the nipple and areola, causing excessive bulging forward of the areola. The breast is usually more narrow either in a horizontal or vertical direction, instead of being very rounded or circular in its dimensions. There is often a shortage of skin in the lower pole of the breast so that the nipple/areola is pointed downward the lower skin is too tight. There are very good operations to improve tuberous breasts, and I think that the photos you have shown for a post surgical result are reasonable. I usually place a round implant behind either behind the breast or the pectoral muscle, make incisions in the back of the breast gland to spread out and rearrange the tissue into a more circular shape, and finally do a periareolar lift in which the nipple areola is raised up and made smaller. This can create the result in your photos. This condition can be very distressing for young women, and the surgery has been extremely rewarding for many patients. Good luck.

Answer: Tubular breasts correction Tuberous breasts can be improved a lot with the right operation. For most patients the "right" operation includes putting in breast implants and changing the shape of the breast in other ways. Sometimes a small lift is needed. Sometimes there is some rearranging of the breast from inside the pocket for the implants. The "right" operation depends upon what is going on with the breast tissue, and that is different for every patient. If you're able to come to the office for a consultation we can discuss your case in detail. I spend an hour with every new patient making sure you have all the information you need to make the best choice of a procedure. As for matching your goal photos, I always have patients bring photos of both results they like and don't like. We discuss them in detail and I customize the procedure to meet your goals. I can't say that we can perfectly match a photo that you like, but we can definitely agree on your favorite results and plan to get you as close as possible. I hope this helps!

Answer: Tubular breast correction in Miami, FL. Is it possible for me to achieve the results in my wish pics? Thank you for the question and pictures. Patients who have the starting anatomy of “tuberous/constricted” breasts, need to be informed that the results of their breast surgery will not necessarily match that of someone who is not starting out with this anatomic variation. Achieving realistic expectations prior to surgery will be important. Therefore, I would suggest that you do your due diligence and look at lots of examples of before and after pictures of patients who start out with the tuberous/constricted breast concerns. In regards to selection of plastic surgeon, I would suggest starting with the American Society of Plastic Surgery and/or the Aesthetic Society of Plastic Surgery to obtain a list of well experienced board-certified plastic surgeons. Then, I would suggest you visit a few surgeons whose practices concentrate on aesthetic surgery. Ask to see lots of examples of their work and preferably speak/see patients who have had similar procedures done. Be very careful with your decision-making. You will find, while doing your due diligence, that there are many different “specialties” who will offer their services to you; again, I strongly recommend you concentrate on surgeons certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. Sorry that I cannot provide you with specific names; hopefully, the attached link will be helpful to you as you learn more about breast augmentation and tuberous/constricted breasts. Best wishes.
