Red blood count, hemoglobin & hematocrit high, will they cancel my breast lift with implants?

Question

Having a breast Augmentation w/lift , My red blood count 5.32 hemoglobin 15.8 an hematocrit 48.6 Will they cancel my surgery? All of my other blood work came out normal. I do take multivitamins with iron and eat a lot of red meat. Maybe I was dehydrated.

I don’t think those blood values will concern your doctor at all as long as you are otherwise healthy

Though you blood levels are abnormal, there is no reason to cancel your surgery. A repeat check of your hemoglobin and hematocrit may be a good idea to rule out lab error or genuine abnormalities in your blood.

I would suggest stopping the iron unless a physician prescribed this. Too much iron can be harmful to your liver where excess is stored. You will probably be fine for surgery.
