I have loose skin (a bit crepe-y when I bend forward) at 50-yrs. old. I'm looking for a treatment, procedure (in addition to frequent exercise) to significantly tighten the areas between the butt and back of the knees. Can anyone tell me if Thermitight is a practical and sensible option to tighten loose skin beneath the butt (hamstring area), thighs and upper legs? I can't seem to find any supporting data or details - pro or con. Thank you.
Answer: Thermitight for Loose Butt Skin – Use ThermiTight and Cellfina, Too, for Cellulite ThermiTight could work well for both tightening the skin and eliminating some of the excess fat on the backs of your thighs and knees. ThermiTight uses targeted radiofrequency energy that produces sufficient heat to melt fat cells so that they can be more easily aspirated out of the body. It also stimulates the skin to produce new collagen, producing a tightening and strengthening effect. ThermiTight uses a tiny probe under the skin while ThermiSmooth uses an external probe that gives good results as well in milder cases. It looks like you also may have some cellulite. While ThermiTight may improve this somewhat, I'd recommend adding in a Cellfina treatment. Cellfina uses tiny needle-like blades to cut through the fibrous tissue that adheres to the skin and creates the “dimples” you see in cellulite. Please consult a board-certified dermatologist to find out if you are a candidate for ThermiTight and/or Cellfina.

Answer: ThermiTight/Skin Tightening/High Definition procedures Thank you for your question. I recommend a combination of procedures for optimal results. ThermiTight utilizes a small electrode inserted under the skin to heat tissue to a selected therapeutic temperature. Literature has shown that elevating skin to a therapeutic temperature level can contract collagen molecules and stimulate collagen production, which may give the appearance of lifting or tightening. Fat reduction is rare, unless set to high temperatures and kept at high temperatures for a significant amount of time . To best answer your question, it depends on how much skin laxity you have. ThermiTight can work well in the thigh area to tighten skin that is mild to moderately laxity. Surgery may be a better option, if you have excessive laxity. Results with ThermiTight vary from patient to patient. You should experience some overall improvement. The best way to assess and give true advice would be an in-person exam. Please see a board-certified plastic surgeon that specializes in aesthetic and restorative plastic surgery. Best of luck! Answer: Loose skin of the thighs under the buttocks This is a difficult area to treat with liposuction but better results can be obtained in some patients with ThermiTight or ThermiSmooth 250. I won't be perfect, but neither would be a surgical thigh lift and the ThermiSmooth and ThermiTight will not have a scar that the thigh lift would create (in fact, most plastic surgeons wouldn't cut back there). ThermiTight is a one time procedure, minimally invasive with local anesthetic and expect swelling and maybe some bruising. Wearing a compression garment may help.ThermiSmooth250 can be done as a series of no downtime procedures every week to two weeks. Results are not expected to be immediate as the body responds with collagen production and skin tightening over six months to a year or more after the procedure.

Answer: Skin Tightening for thighs and butt with Vaser, ThermiRF, Cellfina, Sculptra I find that VASER with thermiRF gives the most skin tightening, contouring and lift to this area. This combination will give you a smooth, lifted result. Also, Cellfina and Sculptra can be used to improve skin tightening. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: ThermiTight for back of thighs ThermiTight can tighten the skin and improve the skin quality in that area, which will improve the appearance. However it will not get rid of the irregularities and your skin will not be completely smooth. Make sure you see a board certified physician to discuss your goals and expectations. Good luck!
