Lip augmentation (Juvederm) before or after Rhinoplasty? (photos)

Thank you for your question and photograph.  I would recommend injecting the Juvederm first as it will not affect your rhinoplasty results and will have matured by the time of your girls trip.  Additionally after your surgery you will need time to adequately recover and the last thing you would want to do is to have further treatment in and around a recently operated upon nose.  Hope this helps.

There is no right or wrong choice here it is strictly personal preference.    I would suggest doing the lip injections post rhinomaybe at  a post op visit.   Some patients do like to have injectables done at the same time as surgery because of the anesthesia.     Good Luck!

You can have the Juvederm injected whenever it is suitable for you because it will have no effect on your Rhinoplasty.  More importantly, please make sure that you see an experienced injector.

The placement of Juvederm in your lips should not affect the outcome of your rhinoplasty but I would mention the Juvederm to your surgeon if you decide to have it done before your surgery.  It would be your choice to have the lips done before or after the rhinoplasty.  

Hello, and thanks for your question. I think it's reasonable to do the lip filler either before or after rhinoplasty. After might be better in that your physician can try to keep your features in proportion. To maximize the likelihood of a favorable outcome, I recommend that you only get treated by a well-trained and experienced dermatologist or plastic surgeon. Hope this opinion is helpful to you. Lips and noses all bare a relationship to total facial proportion.  So if someone has a large nose they can offset the noses dominance by having slightly fuller lips to keep things in proportion.  Therefore, I would suggest waiting until after the rhinoplasty before deciding on doing the lips and just how much they will need to balance the face.

I don't think it makes a big difference one way or the other. If you plan to continue doing lip filler, then it really makes no difference. If you're just trying it out for a special occasion, then I'd do the surgery first, and the filler later.

Very personal issue. I might offer filler first like 2 weeks befits rhinoplasty. Because the swelling following a rhinoplasty can take MONTHS to settle...

It is your choice when to inject the juvederm.   This will have no effect on you nose either way so do not worry.I must say my choice would be to do the juvederm  after your rhinoplasty but again either way works.   My Best,  Dr Commons
