What is happening? Incisions going nuts! Slough? Dehiscence? Please help! (Photo)

These will all heal!  You have a little necrosis in your umbilicus and the incisions have separated a little in certain areas.  These will all heal with wound care and time!  Follow up with your plastic surgeon on a regular basis as this can be nerve racking!  You be fine- best wishes!!

Thank you for sharing your question and I am sorry to hear of your incision related issues. It does appear that you are suffering with small areas of wound dehiscence and slough formation.  Fortunately the areas look small enough that they should heal uneventfully with local wound care.  Be aware that you may see the areas worsen before they start improving but keep close follow up with your surgeon as your healing progresses. 

You have a few aresa of necrosis but theyu look small and should heal with wound care. I like 1 part white vinegar to 8 parts water, as a soak 3x per day on gauze. Check with your doctor frequently.Best, Dr Mandraccia, Ft Myers, Fl

Could be reaction to the deep sutures? But you need in person examination and daily treatments in my opinion. Seek in person paid second opinions if needed...

Hello! Thank you for sharing your photos.  I understand how upsetting this can be! However it is common for small wound openings to occur after having these types of surgeries, especially if a lot of tissue was removed.  Rest assured that they will heal completely, it just requires a little extra TLC to the wounds  while you are going through the process.  Any irregularities in terms of your final outcome can usually be tweaked in the office.  Hang in there!  Best of luck. 

You have small areas of slow healing along each of your surgery sites.  Local wound care should be followed carefully, but I believe that you should heal properly.  Follow the recommendations of your Plastic Surgeon, but don't let these get worse before you follow up with your Surgeon!  You may be reacting to your deep sutures?  Shouldn't prevent you from healing, however.Good luck to you.Frank Rieger M.D.  Tampa PlStic Surgeon
