Thank you for your question. Any excess fat can be used for BBL. I typically harvest fat from the entire back, the abdomen, the waist, the flanks and sometimes from the saddlebag area. Fat can also be taken from the arms or thighs. When considering any elective surgical procedure it's important to make sure that you are healthy enough to undergo surgery. Your plastic surgeon will evaluate you and may recommend that you see a cardiologist for preoperative evaluation and optimization. Some surgeons are willing to combine a BBL and tummy tuck procedure, while others prefer to perform them separately. In my office, I typically perform the procedures separately.
