I started noticing a recession in the frontal temples around 19. I always have had a large forehead to begin with & now it's at the point I am tired of combing forward to try hide temples and having to adjust my hair when a wind gust comes. I know it is not recommended to have hair transplant at a young age but can a conservative FUE transplant work with me? I have been told in consultations I have rich donor area. I do not want to wait till 35-40 years old, it is important to me now at this age

Answer: Hair transplant at 23 Yes you do have a rich donor area now, but this may not be the case later on. At 23 it is hard to determine the rate of hair loss. I would start finasteride and minoxidil for at least 2-3 years to assess the rate of hair loss. If you do go for a transplant please proceed with caution. Have an accurate estimation of the capacity of your donor area and be prepared that you will need multiple transplants.
