2nd FUE Attempt - 1st was 1.5 years ago, 2000 grafts placed) - does this look like 2000 grafts? (photos)

Question

27 y/o. 1st procedure - frontal 1/3 + peaks using the Neograft. Unfortunately, very few of the grafts took. Procedure re-done at no charge using ARTAS. He was happy with the post-op hairline. I understand there are limits to every procedure. I am a dentist myself. I know you should never promise a patient the world (no one is a miracle worker). I want to avoid Roagine (he suggested using it on the grafts). Does it look like he placed 2000 grafts and are they dense enough? Moisturizers on grafts?

It is great to see you have realistic goals and expectations.  You can think about the density this way:  2000 grafts were place in an area that probably had about 20,000 hairs.  With your hair cut so short it would not look very full.

This does not look like a 2000 FUE graft case to me.  Usually in the frontal forelock and hairline 2000 grafts should closely grouped and these grafts have large gaps between them.  If you took some time you could actually count the grafts from the photo.

This does not look like 2000 grafts but the only way to be sure is to ask your surgeon. The density seems low and I doubt that even if the grafts took it would look natural. At this point it's unlikely you'll see any changes, past a year you are considered to be at the final results. You should see a second doctor about another procedure, if you want a good transplant done.

If there is a trust issue, you can ask for the surgical record and a record of the number of grafts should be there. Trust seems to be a problem but the photos don't help me help you.
