Will using minoxidil once a day still work - 6 months post-op.

You do not need to use any medication or Rogaine after surgery for it be a success.  If you are concerned or want to use Rogaine or Propecia it is best to discuss this with your doctor.

We recommend our patients to start 20 days after the surgery with Rogaine  5% (Minoxidil) foam spray twice a day but this can change due to your own surgeons recommendation. Please consult with your surgeon about his/her after care recommendations.

Once per day could lessen your side effects but it also will likely lessen Minoxidil's effectiveness, which is why twice a day is whats normal. In general you should always consult with your doctor before changing how often you take/use your medications.

Minoxidil is to be applied twice a day for best results. As always consult with your hair restoration surgeon before changing your hair loss regimen.

Using minoxidil is ok but it probably will not impact the hair transplant in the recipient area if that is what you want
