I’ve been looking into getting a BBL for two years now but I’ve seen a lot of deaths I am very unhappy with the way my body looks I feel like I could be more ever since I had the baby I have not really been feeling myself but I am very terrified that a BBL might kill me for the fact that I’ve seen a lot of recent deaths any advice
Answer: Brazilian Butt Lift - Risks The risk of BBL is actually quite low. There was a lot of news about the recent death in Florida is concerning but the procedure itself when done conservatively should not be near the blood vessels that are thought to be the cause of death from BBL. I would visit with a few plastic surgeons and see who you feel can offer you a comfortable experience. I think a in person consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon is usually pretty reassuring but do your homework on who you are consulting with! Best Wishes!!

Answer: Seen so many BBL deaths but I want one done. I'm very scared, any advice? If the fat is injected with larger cannula and superficially below the skin, the fat cannot get inside the blood vessels to cause this complication. The problem is that this procedure was described and has been taught to be performed by injecting into the muscle for better fat survival due to better vascularity. However, the larger blood vessels accompany this area.

Answer: Risk of BBL surgery Thank you for this very relevant statement. Last year some fatal outcomes were reported in the news and made huge headlines. The BBL surgery has evolved in the last years dramatically. After introduction of this surgery a complication was recognized that is potentially lethal. The fat embolism. Because of the risk for this complication that has also been seen in regular liposuction or in treating a bone fracture the technique of applying the fat has changed to a a lot more subtle and superficial technique . Fat is applied in fine droplets that Are disseminated more in the superficial layer of the tissue and not in the depth of the muscle where a lot of large blood vessel’s are located. So the over all risk of a butt augmentation with your own fat has dropped dramatically and this surgery has become a lot safer than 10 years ago. it is however essential that you turn to a board-certified plastic surgeon that has experience in this procedure. All the best for your journey. Have a wonderful rest of the day and greetings from the beautiful island of Jamaica.

Answer: Seen so many BBL deaths but I want one done. I'm very scared, any advice? Hello, thanks for your question and provided information. I have to say that bbl risk is very low. Ask your board certified plastic surgeon specifically what are they, before surgery, so you can know the risks after surgery. Don't be scared, choose a BC plastic surgeon and think well about your decision.

Answer: Brazilian Butt Lift Advice Advice:Avoid having a non-plastic surgeon perform this procedure. Avoid any surgeon who injects fat into the gluteal musculature. Deep fat injection increases the risk of fat embolism and subsequent death or becoming a pulmonary cripple. Don’t go abroad for this procedure. Don’t base your decision on price. Make sure you have realistic expectations for your body type/shape. Don’t use airbrushed, photoshopped, filtered Instagram photos as a wish picture.
