I have thin hair. Am I a good candidate for a Forehead Lift? Will I have hair loss?

Thank you for your question. Based upon the information given regarding thin hair, it sounds like you may be a good candidate for an endoscopic browlift. There are several other types of browlifts that may or may not be suitable after a formal evaluation. I hope this helps!

An endoscopic brow lift would be your best approach. Sure, there is a chance of temporary or even permanent hair loss at 2 of the incisions, but in my experience it would be a 2-3 mm area if at all, and it is very hard to see. I successfully perform these surgeries in both men and women with thin hair, and it hasn't really been any sort of problem for those individuals. In rare cases, if a small localized area of hair loss was permanent, it can be treated by a minor hair transplant procedure into the affected area.

The primary goal  for a forehead lift is to lift low eyebrows, so you must have low eyebrows before considering the procedure. Additional considerations or whether or not there are vertical corrugator muscle lines between the eyebrows, and horizontal frontalis  muscle lines as well. I usually do an endoscopic forehead lift. This is done primarily for eyebrow and upper eyelid sagginess. It does sometimes cause hairloss. If this occurs it is just localized usually and can be treated.
