I'm a sliding genioplasty, are permanent screws used to hold the bone In place?

Ali52
A sliding genioplasty, not using implants, requires screws to hold the chin bone in its new position? I am just wondering, because I don’t think I want implants or to have any permanent materials in my face, and screws aren’t any exception.
