Am I a tummy tuck candidate & how low will my tattoo be pulled down? (Photo)

I am likely going to schedule a tummy tuck. I was priced at $10k, however I do see the average online is $8k. Am I a good candidate and how damaging will this be to my tattoo?

Sincerely, your are more candidate for liposuction instead of tummy tuck, Tummy tuck procedure is for patient who has extra skin in their abdomen area and based on your pictures this is not your case. My recommendations get a physical evaluation with a plastic surgeon before making your surgery plan.

The tattoo in the midline will come down all the way to the incision which will be at the hairline. The side tattoo won’t be change much at all

Thank you for your question. It’s difficult to tell exactly how loose your skin is and therefore how good of a candidate you are for a tummy tuck and also how far your tattoo will be pulled down. With a traditional tummy tuck at the minimum, the skin immediately above your belly button will get pulled down to the low scar. There are many factors that go into pricing. The most important factor, however, is that you are comfortable with your surgeon and have a good relationship. Good luck.

it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. Based on your photos, it looks like you don't have much loose skin. With a tummy tuck, skin is pulled down. Your tattoos are in the skin so they can be pulled down too.  If you only do the mini tuck, your tattoos will probably not change much.

From the photos it appears you may be a candidate for a tummy tuck.  This will remove excess fat and skin as well as correct abdominal wall laxity.  The midline tattoo will be pulled down toward the bikini line during the procedure.  The next step is to visit with a board certified plastic surgeon near you for a consultation to learn more.

It is difficult to tell if you are a good candidate for an abdominoplasty.  A photo of you leaning over and side views would aid along with an in office physical exam. 
That being said, the tattoo just over your umbilicus should move downward about 2 inches from its present position.
