Is a breast lift, 360 tummy tuck/body lift, lipo, and bbl all in one surgery too much? (Photo)

In my practice, I absolutely perform combined procedures, but only when a patient’s health, labs, and exam support it — and only if I am confident the surgery can be completed safely within a reasonable timeframe (typically around 6–7 hours). If the projected time or medical factors suggest it is pushing the limits of safety, then staging the procedures is the better option to protect your long-term outcome.

When considering a breast lift, 360 tummy tuck/body lift, liposuction, and BBL together, several factors must be evaluated carefully:
• Total surgical time — Longer procedures significantly increase risks related to anesthesia, blood loss, and healing.
• Recovery positioning — Also to be considered is offloading the gluteus at the same time as protecting the abdominal incision, which makes it extremely difficult to find a comfortable or safe healing position. This can increase pain, slow recovery, and make the postoperative period more challenging.
• Overall recovery burden — Even without complications, the recovery from multiple major procedures done at once will be longer, more painful, and more difficult compared to staging them.

No two patients are the same, which is why an individualized evaluation is critical. It allows me to recommend the safest surgical plan—one that achieves excellent results without overburdening your recovery.

A set of combination procedures like yours is one of my most common procedures.

It's safe provided it can be done in a reasonable time frame (less than 6 hours) and you are in a facility with a team that can provide adequate and very close follow up care, especially the first few days.

It is not too long and dangerous to have these 3 procedures done in the same surgery. However, in State of Florida there is the rule that surgeon can not remove more than 1 liter of fat when other major procedure (breast lift in your case) is done in the same surgery? Your decision. Good luck.

When done by an experienced surgeon who regularly performs combined procedures, it is a safe and standard approach for comprehensive body transformation.

Surgeon’s experience with multi-procedure cases
Proper planning and staging

The recovery is certainly more involved than a single procedure, but it is manageable and often easier than doing 3–4 separate surgeries with multiple recoveries.
Many patients prefer to do everything at once because:
One anesthesia
One recovery period
More harmonious, balanced results
If during your evaluation you have good health markers and the surgeon is confident in managing the case safely, combining these procedures is completely reasonable.
A staged approach can also be an option, but it is not the only correct answer. It simply depends on the surgeon’s philosophy and comfort level.

In my practice, I frequently perform similar combination procedures. If I am confident that I can safely complete the full operation within approximately 6–7 hours, then it can be done in one stage. However, the decision must always be individualized.

Safety is always the number one priority when undergoing elective surgery like plastic surgery. Different surgeons have different approaches — some work with first assistants or a second surgeon, while others perform the entire procedure themselves. This can impact how long surgery takes and what can safely be combined.
Combining breast and body procedures is very common and often referred to as a “Mommy Makeover.” These can be performed safely in one setting when patient health, surgical time, and recovery are carefully considered.
What’s most important is the total estimated operative time. There is good evidence showing that risks increase when surgeries go beyond 6 hours. For that reason, I prefer to keep my combined procedures within that time frame to ensure the best and safest outcomes.
