I’m planning a mommy makeover that includes a breast lift, tummy tuck, 360 lipo, and fat transfer to the buttocks (BBL). I’m also very keen on combining it with vaginoplasty (vaginal tightening, labia minora and majora reduction, clitoral hood reduction, and fat transfer to the labia majora) in one surgical session. I’ve consulted two surgeons so far — one plastic surgeon and one OB-GYN: • The plastic surgeon advised against combining everything, saying the recovery would be extremely rough and difficult to manage. • The OB-GYN, however, says she performs this combination routinely on healthy patients and that it’s perfectly reasonable as long as the surgical plan is structured and the patient is medically cleared. The anaesthetist also mentioned that it’s technically possible to start with a spinal block for the vaginoplasty and then convert to general anesthesia for the rest of the procedures. I’m trying to make an informed decision — from a safety and recovery standpoint, is it reasonable to combine all these surgeries at once? I’ll be traveling for surgery and want to minimize the number of trips, but I also don’t want to compromise my recovery or safety. I’d love to hear from surgeons who’ve performed similar combination procedures — especially regarding operative time, blood loss, infection risk, and recovery experience compared to doing them separately.
