This is very normal to feel after a tummy tuck. It can give you a post depression. It's important to take naps throughout the day as your body is still recovering. I would increase protein to 150 grams a day. This will help you feel better. I also would advise your plastic surgeon so that he can tell you what to follow as well. Every surgeon has different post op instructions.
it is not unusual to feel a little tired for 6 weeks after this type of surgery. Occasionally tiredness can be due to a low haemoglobin due to blood loss during surgery and I would advice you see your PS to have a blood test to rule this out.
It’s not surprising to feel a little tired after a major procedure like a tummytuck. You will typically lose a little blood during the procedure which can tire you out a bit. It also takes a while to get over the effects of general anesthesia. I also caution my patients about too much too soon. It sounds like you are experiencing a normal recovery from a tummytuck. If you have any concerns then I would call your surgeon’s office to be seen or speak to a nurse. Good luck with the rest of your recovery!! Best regards.
Hello junta7101, Congratulations on your recent abdominoplasty (tummy tuck)! Fatigue is a common and normal symptom after a tummy tuck procedure. Patients may feel tired for several weeks or months. Taking supplements like iron if you feel fatigued, and vitamin C to boost your body’s ability to heal are highly beneficial during tummy tuck recovery. Many patients return to work and their regular daily lives after 1-2 weeks, but you may need someone to help you care for your house and children for the first month. Strenuous exercise and activities are restricted for 6-8 weeks. Avoid lifting (objects, children, pets) heavier than 5 lbs. for at least 6 weeks. Since every case is different, consult with your plastic surgeon to discuss your particular needs and concerns. Warm regards! Dr. De La Cruz.
Hello dear! It's great to hear that your recovery is going well! It is normal to feel tired after a surgery, since the body is requiring extra energy. You should feel better as you heal.I suggest you to be patient and if you have any concerns, you can talk to your surgeon. Good luck :)
Congratulations on your surgery! It's wonderful to hear that you are recovering so well, but healing takes a lot out of your body. It is typical that your energy level is lower at the beginning. It will slowly be restored as you continue to heal. Follow the advice of your surgeon, get adequate rest, and eat a balanced diet and you'll be feeling better soon.
It is completely normal to be tired for several weeks after a large operation like a tummy tuck. I tell my patients to expect to take frequent naps during the day for the first two weeks. Your body is using a lot of resources to heal your incision and you should give it the time and energy it needs to do that. If you have any questions or concerns you should speak to your surgeon and they can better tell you what activities you should restrict.
From your description you can consider having the BBL performed first. The donor locations where the fat was harvested could result in further skin laxity. This could then be addressed with a tummy tuck once you are fully healed from the BBL. There is no harm having the procedures performed...
You have ischemia of the tummy tuck skin flap which most often occurs just above the incision on the pubic area. It is the area of the abdominal skin flap that is furthest from the blood supply which is coming from the flanks. You should remove the binder and place Silvadene cream to protect t...
Based on your photos, you may benefit from a full tummy tuck. Liposuction alone would not be sufficient as it appears you have some loose skin, and a mini tummy tuck would not improve the area above your belly button.
