I'm so happy with my decision to chose Dr Rai for my breast Explant. Not only do my breast look great but I feel they look better without the implants. Dr Rai was completely transparent and provided all of the pros and cons and did not try to convince me of any unnecessary procedures like a lift or fat transfer. He recommended remove the implants and allowing everything to settle before doing anything else. I've never had a surgeon personally call me every day to check on my progress and my drain numbers. Dr Rai truly cares for his patients. Also, I'm so thrilled that I did not allow the previous plastic surgeon who performed the implant surgery convince me to go larger. The 20 year old silicone implants were 275cc in right breast and 300cc's in the left. Dr Rai says because they were on the smaller side, i did not have stretching; therefore, i do not need a breast lift. So happy to get those toxic plastics out of my body. I believe they were the reason for my thyroid and Rheumatoid Arthritis diagnosis. Still healing but looking forward to my return to the gym. Feeling better already and only 2 weeks post op.
For the explant I would give a 5 star for a TT 4 and for lipo 2. He is an amazing explant doctor I would put him at the top of any list. However, I was not super impressed with my TT and not pleased at all with the lipo. I honest can’t tell that he did any. Wasn’t made aware that a TT could also give me a front bump, in my pelvic area. He’s a great guy, he will be with you lil every step of the way. He will call personally for follow up and will even do house calls if needed. Wish I could give him 5 stars but I want to be honest. Go for an explant definitely, just nothing else.
Highly recommend Dr Rai and his team. After 13 yrs w/silicone implants and medical issues that kept being dismissed by my primary doctor, I decided to have implants removed w/breast lift. I am grateful to have found the best doctor to do my surgery. Dr Rai is compassionate, professional, takes his time to hear your concerns, and the follow up care was just perfect. I'm happy to say that surgery was a success and breast lift results are beyond my expectations, I love them!! I can honestly say, Dr Rai and his team are a 10/10 , highly recommend him!
Dr. Rai and his staff are absolutely incredible!! From the first initial consult all the way through surgery and recovery, I felt welcome and taken care of. Dr. Rai is personally invested in making sure that all of his patients have the very best care. He calls personally to make sure that recovery is going well after surgery and throughout the recovery process. His staff is amazing as well. Leading up to my surgery I kept coming up with questions and every time I called they were happy to help me answer them. Never did I feel like I was bothering them. Christian, the surgery coordinator was incredible with working with me to find the perfect surgery date. She was super helpful with the billing questions and payment methods. Angie, my nurse on surgery day was incredible!! She took care of me the entire time I was there and I felt completely comfortable with her. Overall, I could not have asked for a better surgical team!! I would 10/10 recommend Dr. Rai and his staff!!!
The staff, nurses and Dr. Rai are the best! As a patient from "out of town", they made the entire process and experience so easy. From my initial consult (which I chose to do virtual), to scheduling, completing medical forms, surgery, recovery to post-op followup...every step was handled professionally and promptly. They communicate so well and are willing to answer even the smallest questions. Before surgery, Dr. Rai made sure my husband and I felt comfortable and knew exactly how surgery and recovery were going to go. The staff even communicated with my husband to keep him informed during my procedure. Post-op Dr. Rai called me daily to check in on my recovery and that included over the weekend. He went above and beyond to make sure I was progressing as expected. I would HIGHLY recommend Dr. Rai at the Cosmetic Surgical Center. There are no words to express our deepest gratitude to everyone for making our experience so wonderful. We were treated like family.
I recently had an explant and lift with Dr. Surjit Rai and could not be happier with my results! I met with other plastic surgeons prior to my consultation with Dr. Rai and I knew he was the right choice for me as soon as I left the appointment. He is unbelievably compassionate and takes the time to answer all of your questions. The icing on the cake is that his team is equally amazing! From scheduling, moving up my surgery date several times, pre-op and post-op care they were all fantastic. My recovery has been surprisingly easy and I am so thankful to Dr. Rai and his team for their continued support.
I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Surjit Rai. I received an explant and lift. The experience was great from start to finish. The nurses here are so kind and dr. Rai spends a lot of time making sure you’re comfortable and supported during the process. I love my end results. I couldn’t recommend him enough.
Dr. Rai was an amazing surgeon to work with. However, not only is he a great surgeon, he is also a kind and compassionate human. I would 10/10 recommend him to anyone looking to undergo an En Bloc Capsulectomy. You can tell he truly cares about his patients and their outcomes! He is very professional and his bedside manner was impeccable. He is also doing his own research into Breast Implant Illness, which says a great deal about him! He takes his patients seriously. Also, his office staff and nurses were kind and easy to work with as well. <3
I simply can't find the words to clearly express how wonderful Dr. Surjit Rai AND his staff have been. I was really nervous about having an explant of my 13 yo implants along with a lift, but knew I needed to get the poison bags out of me! He walked me and my husband through everything. He answered every question we had and never made us feel rushed. In fact, he made us feel like family in some ways. The day of the procedure his staff was so comforting and Dr. Rai held my hand and rubbed my arm as the anesthesiologist was putting me under. I've never experienced a Dr. who expresses so much care. The procedure went really well and Dr. Rai called to check on me a few times over the course of the following week. While I have no intention of having any additional cosmetic procedures, if I change my mind, the ONLY Dr. I'd go to is Dr. Surjit Rai.
Dr. Rai is truly a wonderful person and incredible surgeon. He takes the time to listen and advise to get the best results. I had 13 year old breast implants that he removed. The process was professional and seamless. I am over the moon excited at the results. I HIGHLY recommend! The staff is amazing too:)
I agree with the other poster. The back pain is likely positional due to you sleeping in a different position after surgery. Anti-inflammatories work well for this but you need to ask your surgeon before starting any of those medications as they can cause some bleeding.
If you have any questions or concerns about your recover or the suture line try to contact your plastic surgeons office if you can. From the photos you have posted it looks to healing well. That amount of dried blood is very common this soon after surgery. The fact that it is dry is a good sign that there isn't any active bleeding. In regards to the steri strips every plastic surgeon has their own post operative protocol so I would check with yours to see how he would want you to proceed. Hope this helps!
I agree with the other surgeons. The swelling to your breasts and the scars will change considerably in the next several weeks to months. Your surgeon will likely recommend scar massage once the scars have healed enough. That should help to smooth out any residual puckering. If you have any questions or concerns you should try to see your surgeon for guidance
A lot of insurance providers will cover breast reductions. There are certain criteria including frequent rashes under the breasts, back pain, neck pain, shoulder pain, shoulder strap grooving...etc. It is worth checking out with a plastic surgeon in your area that accepts your insurance to see if you are a candidate. Most surgeons would recommend you be 6 months removed from breast feeding prior to an operation as your breast size will continue to change.
Generally if you don't have a lot of natural breast tissue and know you want saline implants most surgeons would recommend placing them under the muscle. The muscle will give an extra layer of tissue between the implant and the skin and masks any rippling that can occur in saline implants.
