I went to Colombia and got everything done, my breast started to separate from my nipple two weeks after surgery. I’m now at three weeks and 2 days. The deletion has gotten bigger. My dr has told me how til clean it send me with antiobiocs and a cream , how long til it gets better and should I be worried. I had a hernia repair 3 weeks ago in my belly button. It’s so tight then I can’t stand up straight. Is this normal ?
Answer: Areola separation The picture that you have shown as shows that the areola has separated from the incision side of the breast in two different areas. In my practice I would deal with this with secondary healing meaning that I would let the body heal itself. I'm quite certain that in doing so, you may be left with a scar which will require revision.

Answer: Dehisence Thanks for your question. To me this looks more like a dehisence of the scar around the nipple (at least on the left) than necrosis of the nipple itself, as the nipples still appear pink. Once the swelling has reduced, and if there is no infection, then it may well be possible to debride (clean up) these areas and stitch the nipples back into place.

Answer: Healing process Dear bdenardo123,this type of wound is not uncommon after breast lift. It is usually caused by poor blood flow. I would suggest you to consult your plastic surgeon, follow your surgeon's instructions and keep your wound clean and covered. It can take few weeks or months for wound to fully heal. Answer: Wound healing problem Unfortunately we see problems in patients that travel for surgery all too often. Sadly though, what's happened has already happened, so it's important to focus on getting the area healed now. You should expect that as a result, your scarring will be worse than if this had not happened in the first place.if you have access to your surgeon, stay in close touch and follow his/her advice. If not, Be sure to discuss your goals and concerns with your board certified plastic surgeon and consider the pros and the cons. Be certain your surgeon is properly certified. I've attached a link where you can start your search.

Answer: When should I worry about my nipple separating from the skin of my breast? It’s gotten worse how long until it heals? Thank you for your question. I'm sorry to hear about the issues that you have been experiencing. You need to see a board-certified plastic surgeon in person. It's not possible for your surgeon to evaluate you properly over the phone or email. It's important that a surgeon evaluate you to make sure that there are not other issues going on, such as infection. Once you make sure everything is okay, the open areas will need to heal with local wound care. This will leave a larger scar that can hopefully be revised in time. It is very important to always see a board certified plastic surgeon who has the proper training and judgment to help minimize the risk of complications is much as possible. Good luck with your healing.
