I don't have any serious medical conditions, but can a high HR have an effect on BA? HR is 90-95 bpm, but can get over 100

Thank you for your question. As a surgeon, my primary concern is for the health and safety of my patients. When you see your surgeon for a consultation, they will discuss your medical history and any relevant concerns - be open and honest and let them know about your heart rate issues. In some cases, you may need to have a letter from a cardiologist (if you have one) or your primary care doctor. In this case, as in every case, you need to make sure that your surgeon is board certified and that your breast augmentation is performed in a hospital or fully accredited surgical facility. Hi girlybabe, I do understand your concern. Before any breast augmentation procedure is performed, a pre-operative assessment is conducted. You will be assessed properly and cleared for surgery. You should speak with a board certified plastic surgeon and make sure that your surgeon and your anesthesiologist knows about your concerns. You will probably have a preop assessment as part of your operative plan and if there are any issues or you have concerns the anaesthetist is the best person to advise.

Hello and thank you for your question. Your heart rate should be evaluated by your medical doctor to make sure you are safe for surgery. Once you have appropriate clearance and testing you can discuss your fitness for surgery with your PS. 

you don't provide any details about your age, medication and any heart symptoms. i would suspect that your slightly fast HR is of no significance. However, you should see your family dr (unless you already have a cardiologist) and tell them you want to have a BA and make sure that they don't have concerns or want any tests done first.A breast augmentation if elective surgery, so you want to make sure that you are in optimum condition before you have surgery.see a board certified plastic surgeon for your BA.david berman md
